How a Drone Tour
Comes Together?

See how a professional indoor drone tour moves from an initial flight plan to a high-energy marketing asset. Our process begins with a strategic site survey to map out the perfect flow and navigate technical challenges like signal interference in large facilities. We then execute a flagship one-take FPV flight that captures your space from angles traditional cameras cannot reach. Finally, we deliver a turn-key package, including cinematic edits and social media shorts, designed to maximize your project once posted.

Phase 1 - The Plan

Phase 1
Planning and Strategy

Because of the building's massive size, the project required more than just flying. It required a strategic plan:

  • Overcoming Signal Loss: To prevent losing connection to the drone in such a large facility, we developed creative routing and placement of the drone pilot to maintain a clear signal through thick walls and long distances.

  • Flight Path Mapping: We utilized the facility floor plans to map out a route that hit every major amenity while maintaining a continuous flow through the building.

  • Stakeholder Buy-In: We conducted a test flight for key investors to ensure the route met their vision for showcasing the building.

Phase 2 - The Flight

Phase 2
Takeoff

Executing a one-take shot in a busy community center requires precision. While I handle the technical flight and lead the creative, we worked closely with a few on-site staff members to ensure everyone was in position.

  • Coordinating the Crowd: We managed around 70 staged actors, from senior citizens to children, ensuring every person knew exactly when to move and what to do as the drone approached.

  • Real-Time Communication: Using walkie-talkies, we synchronized actions across different rooms so the building felt alive as the drone flew through.

  • Efficiency: By briefing everyone beforehand, and telling them to not stare at the drone, we were able to capture natural, energetic movements that feel authentic to the community.

Phase 3 - The Edit

Phase 3
Putting It All Together

After the flight, the footage went through a rigorous post-production process in the to complete final product.

  • One-Take Realism: We edited the footage to ensure the single-take illusion remained flawless from start to finish, even though there was a hidden cut at the end.

  • VFX Enhancements: We used subtle visual effects to tighten the footage and remove any technical distractions.

  • Branding: The video concludes with a custom logo animation to tie the cinematic experience back to the Westerville brand.
